We believe in social business; we should help our customers achieve their dreams whilst always considering the environmental impact of the construction industry. Ordinary businesses are aimed at making money... there is no consideration of how people benefit; it is all about making profits.
Profits are important to social business, which seek to sell products at prices that make it self-sustaining and enable it to still be in business in the future to be able to service those goods, but profits are not its ultimate goal. The long-term goal of Excell is to continue to grow; constructing and improving homes with as little negative impact on the environment as possible, while offering an attentive and personal service. We aim to invest in people, continuing to employ and train a new generation of quality tradesmen.
We primarily build using timber because we love it, but also because trees use solar energy to grow and they store vast amounts of carbon dioxide during photosynthesis; a cubic meter of timber locks away around one ton of harmful greenhouse gases. Furthermore, wood is a building material with a positive CO2 balance and requires less primary energy during the build. We reduce our CO2 emissions generated by our processes further, by investing in and using fuel efficient vehicles and energy efficient machinery, and by always recycling all waste building materials where possible.
We are very proud of the fact that we have now been helping people improve their homes with energy saving products for over 20 years.
